Usui Reiki Level 2 Attunement Course

This is the Second Degree manual for the Usui Method of Natural Healing developed by Mikao Usui, published in 2011 as eighteen lessons for the practitioner who has already completed Level One. Its centre is the three sacred symbols. Cho Ku Rei is taught first, with how to draw it and a list of everyday uses.

Sei Heiki follows, then Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, the symbol that opens distance work, with its drawing sequence and its applications set out step by step. Before the symbols the manual teaches the three pillars of Reiki as practice rather than theory: Gassho, the first pillar, Reiji-Ho, the second, and Chiryo, the third, followed by a lesson on Namaste. The second half is given over to distant work, with a traditional distance technique and worked examples of sending to a person, a situation or a time.

It closes with non-traditional symbols including Harth, extra hand positions, a lesson on combining Reiki with other disciplines, and techniques for working with animals.

How it is used:

You receive the Second Degree attunement from a Reiki Master before using the symbols. In a session the symbols are drawn or visualised and their names spoken silently. Gassho, Reiji-Ho and Chiryo give the shape of a full session, from settling the hands and mind, to asking for guidance, to the work itself. For distance work the manual gives a traditional technique and then a series of examples, so that sending to a person, a place or a future event follows a pattern you have already seen written out.
