Virtual healing sessions and shipped botanical wellness for Vermont's capital community.
America's smallest state capital, drawn to slow living and craft wellness traditions.
Between January and spring adjournment the State House sets the tempo for much of this town, and workdays stretch past dark. A remote session slots into that calendar without a commute. Your essence blend, meanwhile, is made up on a Michigan worktable and travels to you by mail.
Montpelier was chartered on August 14, 1781, and Colonel Jacob Davis chose the name after Montpellier in France, part of a wave of enthusiasm for all things French during the Revolution. It became the state capital in 1805 and is the least populous state capital in the country, with 8,074 people at the 2020 census. The Winooski River runs west along the south edge of downtown, and it has flooded the town in 1927, 1992 and 2023. It is also the only state capital with neither a McDonald's nor a Starbucks inside it.
